This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit www.scansoles.com or www.data.scansoles.com, why we do so, and what rights you have. We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Scope

This policy covers our websites www.scansoles.com and www.data.scansoles.com. The ScanSoles Data app and portal and the SWAYA services (swaya.ch) process data under their own privacy notices.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA. When you open a page, the server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix faults (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify processes the data on our behalf under its data processing agreement, which forms part of Netlify's standard terms; for data from Switzerland it includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses adapted to Swiss law. Netlify is also certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. Under that agreement, Netlify keeps its logs online for 90 days and archived for up to one year.

Fonts and images are served from this website itself; we do not load fonts from Google or other third parties.

4. Cookies and your consent

Without your consent, this website sets no cookies. On your first visit we ask whether you agree to Google Analytics. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, without any personal data, so that we don't ask again. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

5. Google Analytics

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages are viewed, how far they are scrolled and which external links are clicked. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google records, among other things, the pages you visit, your approximate location (city level), your device and browser, and the website you came from. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. We have switched off Google signals and all advertising features; the data is not used for advertising.

Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_JJ85MH02X0 (on www.data.scansoles.com: _ga and _ga_9B5N0SM816), which are kept for up to 2 years. In Google Analytics we keep event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via "Cookie settings"; we then stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Contacting us by e-mail

If you e-mail us, we process your address and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep this correspondence for as long as your request requires and as statutory retention periods demand.

7. Links to other websites

This website links to the ScanSoles Data portal and to swaya.ch. The privacy policies of their operators apply there.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You can object to processing, ask for it to be restricted, receive your data in a common format and withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to info@scansoles.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU, with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

10. Changes

We update this policy when our website or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page.
